Health & Nutrition

Feeding, caring, supporting the mothers and children of the district, in support of the Social & Medical Centre.

  • Food donations to children
  • Medical equipment donated to the Social & Medical Centre
  • Christmas and New Year gifts
  • Health care for children during campaigns
  • Layette and nutrition for mothers

Health equipment
Regular gifts of medical equipment and consumables to Fokoué hospital and the rural health centres.
Prevention and vaccination campaigns
Financial or logistical backing to ease children's access to basic care and vaccines.
Support for young mothers and infants
Layette kits, food aid and clothing handed to young mothers without means.

Business & Entrepreneurship

Building the association's own resources and supporting members' economic activities.

  • Purchase of rental equipment (dishes, tables, pots, tents)
  • Purchase of generators for rental
  • Purchase of office equipment
  • Support to group members for economic activities
  • Creation of a MAMIKEU function hall

Support for income-generating activities
Technical support and micro-funding that let women and young people stand on their own through income-generating activities.
Shared equipment
Buying and managing community equipment with real economic weight.

Agriculture & Environment

Sowing, planting, cleaning: making the area more productive and healthier, season after season.

  • Seeds handed over to women
  • Fruit tree planting
  • Cleaning of public places (hospital, market, town hall, etc.)
  • Holiday camps

Programmes in this area

Seed distribution to rural women
Quality seed and farming equipment supplied, strengthening the part mothers already play in the household economy.
Reforestation and fruit trees
Fruit-tree planting campaigns that hold back erosion, widen diets and open new sources of income.
Public hygiene and sanitation
Community clean-up days for public places: markets, hospitals and schools.

Education & Training

Getting and keeping children in school, and giving young people and women a trade.

  • Training in sewing, dyeing, soap, oil, etc.
  • Back to school (school supplies handover)
  • Academic scholarships
  • Sponsoring of training placements at Fokoué hospital
  • Seminars on entrepreneurship, moral values, etc.

Programmes in this area

Annual « Back to School » programme
Full school kits handed out (satchels, exercise books, supplies) and school and parents'-association fees covered at every new term, for hundreds of pupils in Fokoué and Fomopea.
Study grants
Financial support for deserving pupils and those from families in real hardship, so their schooling is not broken off.
Trades training centre
A learning centre for sewing, dyeing and manual trades, opening a working future to young people out of school.
Medical placement sponsorship
Housing and settling-in costs covered for health students on placement at Fokoué hospital.
Educational holiday camps
Socio-cultural activities, tutoring and citizenship workshops run through the school holidays.
